Explanatory note

These Regulations further amend the Dartford–Thurrock Crossing Regulations 1989 (“the 1989 Regulations”)–

by increasing some of the charges to be made under regulation 5 of the 1989 Regulations in respect of vehicles above a specified width or length or weight which use the crossing (regulation 3);

by providing that regulation 6 of the 1989 Regulations refers to the seventh, and latest, edition of the booklet entitled “Dangerous Traffic” (regulation 4); and

by increasing some of the charges used to calculate the fee payable under regulation 12 of the 1989 Regulations in respect of the attendance at or the removal of a vehicle which has broken down on the crossing (regulation 5).
