# The Data Protection (Fees) Regulations 1987, Introduction: Introductory text


DATA PROTECTION
Made 25th February 1987
Laid before Parliament 3rd March 1987
Coming into force 16th March 1987
In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by sections 8(5), 40(7) and 41 of the Data Protection Act 1984 and after consultation with the Data Protection Registrar and with the approval of the Treasury in accordance with the said section 40(7), I hereby make the following Regulations:—
