# The Data Protection (Fees) Regulations 1988, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations increase from £40 to £56 the fee which is to accompany an application to the Data Protection Registrar for registration or for renewal of registration under the Data Protection Act 1984.
