# Deep Sea Mining (Exploration Licences) Regulations 1984, Regulation 4: Form of Licences


Every exploration licence shall be for an initial period of 10 years and may be extended for successive periods of 5 years each. The licence shall incorporate the model clauses set out in the Schedule to these Regulations unless the Secretary of State thinks fit to modify or exclude those clauses in any particular case.
