# The Defamation Act 1996 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2000, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 28th February 2000 all the provisions of the Defamation Act 1996 which apply in England and Wales and which have not so far been brought into force, with the exception of the repeal of paragraph 3 of Schedule 20 to the Broadcasting Act 1990.
