# Defence Act 1860, Section 10: Amount of compensation may be determined by agreement.

The amount of compensation to be paid . . . by reason of the execution of any works in or over any lands required to be kept free from buildings, may be determined by agreement between the said Secretary of State and all parties having any estate or interest in such lands respectively.
