  "text": "(1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—\n“1972 Act” means the Local Government Act 1972 (c. 70),\n“2011 Measure” means the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 (nawm 4),\n“community meeting” is a meeting of the local government electors for a community convened under section 27(1) of the 1972 Act,\n“enactment” means any of the following or a provision of any of the following—\n(a)an Act or Measure of Senedd Cymru;\n(b)an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom;\n(c)any subordinate legislation.\n“local authority” means a principal council or a community council,\n“local government area” means a principal area or a community,\n“member of a UK legislature” means—\n(a)a Member of the Senedd;\n(b)a member of the House of Commons;\n(c)a member of the House of Lords;\n(d)a member of the Scottish Parliament;\n(e)a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly,\n“modify”, in relation to an enactment, includes amend or repeal,\n“principal area” means a county or a county borough in Wales,\n“principal council” means a county council or a county borough council in Wales.\n“registered political party” means a party registered under Part 2 of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (c.‍ 41),\n“special adviser‍” means a special adviser within the meaning of—\n(a)Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 (c. 25), or\n(b)section 1 of the Civil Service (Special Advisers) Act (Northern Ireland) 2013 (c. 8 (N.I.)).\n(2) Schedule 3 (index of defined expressions) has effect.",
