# The Design Right (Proceedings before Comptroller) Rules 1989, Article 21: General

Hours of businessFor the purposes of these Rules the Patent Office shall be open Monday to Friday–
(a) between 9.00 a.m. and midnight, for the filing of applications, forms and other documents, and
(b) between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. for all other purposes,
excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day , Tuesday 4th January 2000 and any day specified or proclaimed to be a bank holiday under section 1 of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971.
