# The Design Right (Semiconductor Topographies) (Amendment) Regulations 1992, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Schedule to the Design Right (Semiconductor Topographies) Regulations 1989 to give effect to a communication from the European Commission pursuant to paragraph 3 of Article 1 of Council Decision 90/511/EEC (O.J. No. L285, 17.10.1990, page 31). This communication determines that Finland is a country which satisfies the conditions in paragraph 2 of that Article that protection of topographies of semiconductor products under Finnish law has been extended to all classes of persons in the Member States of the European Economic Community.
