# The Designs (Amendment) Rules 1987, Introduction: Introductory text


DESIGNS
Made 23rd February 1987
Laid before Parliament 2nd March 1987
Coming into force 24th March 1987
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 36 and 39(1) the Registered Designs Act 1949 and now vested in him and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals pursuant to section 10(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1971, hereby makes the following Rules:—
