  "text": "(This note is not part of the Rules)\nThese Rules amend rule 6 (remission of sentence) of the Detention Centre Rules 1983 so as to increase from one-third to one-half of the term the remission which may be granted to inmates serving detention centre orders or committed to be detained under section 9 of the Criminal Justice Act 1982 for default or contempt.",
