  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order specifies certain diseases for the purpose of paragraph 3 of Schedule 12 to the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.\nParagraph 3 allows a detainee custody officer at a detention centre to require a detained person to submit to a medical examination at the centre so long as an authorisation is in force (given by the manager of the centre) and there are reasonable grounds for believing that the individual is suffering from a disease which the Secretary of State considers might endanger the health of others there.",
