# The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1995, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order appoints 1st January 1996 as the day for the coming into force of sections 50, 51 and 52 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 which deal with the establishment and functions of the National Disability Council.
