# The Distress for Rent (Amendment) Rules 1999, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 4th October 1999
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 8 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1888, and section 3 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1895, makes the following Rules:
