# The Docks Regulations 1988, Regulation 9: Rescue, life-saving and fire-fighting equipment, and means of escape


All dock premises shall be provided with adequate and suitable—
(a) rescue and life-saving equipment;
(b) means to effect escape from danger; and
(c) fire-fighting equipment,
which shall be spaced at intervals that are reasonable in all the circumstances and be properly maintained.
