# The Air Traffic Management (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, Regulation 47: Annex 1 to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/123


(1) Annex 1 (The European Route Network Design function) is amended as follows.
(2) Omit Part A (objective and scope).
(3) In Part B (procedure for the development of the European Route Network Improvement Plan)—
(a) for point 1 substitute—
“1. The Secretary of State, airspace users and air navigation service providers must participate in the development and review of the European Route Network Improvement Plan referred to in Part A of Annex I to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/123, as that Regulation has effect in EU law as amended from time to time, while applying the airspace design principles set out in this Annex.”, and
(b) omit points 2 and 3.
(4) In Part C (airspace design principles)—
(a) in point 1—
(i) for “developing” substitute “participating in”,
(ii) for “Network Manager, Member States” substitute “Secretary of State”,
(iii) omit “acting as part of functional airspace blocks or individually,”,
(iv) in point (a) omit “or functional airspace block”,
(v) in point (g) omit the last sentence, and
(vi) in point (j) omit “or functional airspace block”,
(b) in point 2—
(i) for “Network Manager, Member States, functional airspace blocks” substitute “Secretary of State”, and
(ii) omit “(the latter acting as part of functional airspace blocks or individually)”.
(5) Omit Part D (ongoing monitoring of performance achievements at network level).
