# The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 Amendment Regulations 2012, Paragraph 31: Setting free and re-homing protected animals


In section 17A(1)(a), the reference to the Secretary of State’s consent does not include a consent given before these Regulations come fully into force, unless it was given under section 17A by virtue of regulation 1(3)(b).
