# The Aviation Safety (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, Regulation 179: Amendment of Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 2018/1139


(1) Annex VIII (essential requirements for ATM/ANS and air traffic controllers) is amended as follows.
(2) In point 2.7 for “Union” substitute “national”.
(3) In point 2.8—
(a) for “Member States” substitute “Secretary of State”;
(b) for “as implemented under Regulation (EC) No 551/2004” substitute “as given effect under Eurocontrol airspace management documents”;
(c) omit “in the context of the common transport policy”.
(4) In point 5.1(g), omit “Union”.
