# The Aviation Safety (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, Regulation 293: Amendment of Article 2 of Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011


(1) Article 2 (definitions) is amended as follows.
(2) In point (4)—
(a) for “recognised,” substitute “recognised by the CAA,”;
(b) after “in accordance with” omit “the”;
(c) omit the words from “, by a Member State” to the end.
(3) In point (5), for “a Member State” substitute “the CAA”.
(4) In point (9)—
(a) for “recognised,” substitute “recognised by the CAA”;
(b) omit the words from “, by a Member State” to the end.
(5) In point (10), for “a Member State” substitute “the CAA”.
(6) In point (13)—
(a) after “in accordance with” omit “the”;
(b) for the words from “a Member State” to “relevant JAR” substitute “the CAA”.
(7) In points (14), (15) and (18), for “Agency” substitute “CAA”.
