# The Bank for International Settlements (Immunities and Privileges) Order 2021, Article 8: Relief on VAT on purchased goods of a substantial value


The Bank has relief by way of refund of value added tax paid on the purchase of any goods or services of substantial value and which are necessary for the exercise of its official activities.
