# The Bereavement Support Payment Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under section 54(2)(a) of the Pensions Act 2014, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30(1)(c), (2), (3), (4)(a) and (7), 32(1) and (3) and 54(5) and (6) of the Pensions Act 2014.
These Regulations have not been referred to the Social Security Advisory Committee because they are made before the end of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of the provisions of the Pensions Act 2014 under which they are made.
A draft of these Regulations has been laid before Parliament in accordance with section 54(2)(a) of the Pensions Act 2014 and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
