  "heading": "Named client in relation to higher-risk building application or related updated application",
  "text": "(1) This paragraph applies in relation to—\n(a) a building control application which is a higher-risk building application, and\n(b) an updated application in relation to a higher-risk building application.\n(2) Except where sub-paragraph (3) applies, the named client is—\n(a) in the case of a building control approval application for HRB work, the person named as the client under regulation 4(1)(a) of the HRB Regulations,\n(b) in the case of a building control approval application for a stage of HRB work, the person named as the client under regulation 4(1)(a) and (3)(a) of the HRB Regulations,\n(c) in the case of a building control approval application for work to existing HRB, the person named as the client under regulation 12(1)(a) of the HRB Regulations, or\n(d) in the case of an updated application, the person named as the client under regulation 21(1)(a) of the HRB Regulations.\n(3) If a person gives notice to the regulator under regulation 27(2) of the HRB Regulations in relation to the building work to which the application relates, the named client is—\n(a) the person named as the new client in that notice, or\n(b) if more than one notice is given, the person named as the new client in the latest of those notices.",
