  "text": "Draft Order laid before Parliament under sections 8(3) and 91(1) of the Climate Change Act 2008, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.\nClimate Change\nMade ***\nComing into force ***\nThe Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the Climate Change Act 2008 (“the Act”).\nA draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament, in accordance with sections 8(3) and 91(1) of the Act.\nBefore the draft was laid, the Secretary of State took into account—\n(a) the advice of the Committee on Climate Change under section 34 of the Act, in accordance with section 9(1)(a) of the Act; and\n(b) any representations made by the Scottish Ministers, the Welsh Ministers and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland, in accordance with section 9(1)(b) of the Act.\nThis Order is made in accordance with the duty to set carbon budgets for budgetary periods imposed by sections 4(1)(a) and 8(1) of the Act, and is made with a view to—\n(a) meeting the target in section 1 (the target for 2050), and the requirements of section 5 (requirements as to level of carbon budgets), of the Act; and\n(b) complying with the European and international obligations of the United Kingdom.\nThe Secretary of State has taken into account the matters mentioned in section 10(2) of the Act.",
