  "heading": "Citation, commencement and extent",
  "text": "(1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Partnership (Miscellaneous and Consequential Provisions) Order 2005.\n(2) This Order shall come into force as follows—\n(a) paragraph 1 of Schedule 1, shall come into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made;\n(b) paragraphs 3 and 5 of Schedule 1, and Schedule 2, shall come into force on 5th December 2005;\n(c) article 2 and paragraphs 2 and 4 of Schedule 1, shall come into force on 5th December 2005, immediately after the coming into force of the Civil Partnership (Pensions and Benefit Payments) (Consequential, etc. Provisions) Order 2005,\nand this article, article 3 and article 4 shall come into force accordingly.\n(3) Subject to paragraphs (4) to (6), this Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland only.\n(4) Article 2, article 3 and this article, also extend to Northern Ireland.\n(5) Article 4, paragraph 3 of Schedule 1, and Schedule 2 extend to Northern Ireland only.\n(6) Paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 does not extend to Scotland.",
