  "text": "(1) Section 9 (areas, authorities and executives) is amended as follows.\n(2) In subsection (1)(a)—\n(a) in sub-paragraph (i), for “Greater Manchester” there is substituted “a metropolitan county which is or is included in a combined authority area”;\n(b) sub-paragraph (ia) is omitted.\n(3) After subsection (1)(a) there is inserted—\n“(aa) any reference to a “combined authority” is to an authority established under section 103(1) of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 for an area which is or includes a metropolitan county;\n(ab) any reference to a “combined authority area” is to an area for which a combined authority is established;”.\n(4) In subsection (1)(b), for sub-paragraph (ia) there is substituted—\n“(ia) in relation to a combined authority area, the combined authority;”.\n(5) In subsections (2), (3) and (5), for “the area of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority” there is substituted “a combined authority area”.\n(6) Subsection (5A) is omitted.",
