# The Companies Act 2006 (Consequential Amendments etc) Order 2008, Paragraph 67: Companies Act 1985 (c.6)


In section 143(3)(c) of the Companies Act 1985 (general rule against company acquiring own shares: exceptions), for “Part XVII” substitute “section 996 of the Companies Act 2006”.
