# The Compensation (Exemptions) Order 2006, Article 9: Medical Protection Society and medical defence unions


Section 4(1) of the Act does not prevent the provision of a regulated claims management service—
(a) by the Medical Protection Society Limited to its members;
(b) by The Medical Defence Union Ltd to its members; or
(c) by The Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland Limited to its members.
