# The Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Exclusion Order 1998, Article 1: Citation, commencement and extent


(1) This Order may be cited as the Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Exclusion Order 1998 and shall come into force at the end of the period of 8 weeks beginning with the day on which it is made (“the commencement date”).
(2) This Order shall extend to England and Wales only.
