# The Contracting Out (Highway Functions) Order 2008, Paragraph 3


Subject to paragraph 9, functions conferred on the Secretary of State or a local highway authority, by or under section 288 of the 1980 Act (power to require gas and water pipes to be moved), insofar as that provision applies to the exercise of any other function listed in this Schedule.
