  "text": "On 1st April 2009—\n(a) the following local government areas shall be abolished—\n(i) the borough of Sedgefield,\n(ii) the city of Durham,\n(iii) the district of Chester-Le-Street,\n(iv) the district of Derwentside,\n(v) the district of Easington,\n(vi) the district of Teesdale, and\n(vii) the district of Wear Valley; and\n(b) the following councils shall be wound up and dissolved—\n(i) Sedgefield Borough Council,\n(ii) Durham City Council,\n(iii) Chester-Le-Street District Council,\n(iv) Derwentside District Council,\n(v) Easington District Council,\n(vi) Teesdale District Council, and\n(vii) Wear Valley District Council.",
