Paragraph 99 Criminal Justice Act 2003
In section 53 (magistrates' courts permitted to sit at other locations)—
(a)
in subsection (1)(b), for “petty-sessional court-house in” substitute “place at”;
(b)
in subsection (2), for the words from “appointed” to the end substitute “authorised by a direction under section 30 of the Courts Act 2003”; and
(c)
for subsection (3) substitute—
“(3)If the place mentioned in subsection (2) is outside the local justice area in which the justices act it shall be deemed to be in that area for the purpose of the jurisdiction of the justices acting in that area.”.
