Article 56 Community tradeable emissions allowances
(1)
Subject to paragraph (2), the Environment Agency has the power to acquire Community tradeable emissions allowances as may be required to comply with requirements imposed on it under regulations made under section 21 of the Finance Act 2008f1.
(2)
No acquisition must be made under paragraph (1) by taking part in an allocation conducted pursuant to section 16 of the Finance Act 2007f2.
