Regulation 6 Assessment by assessing authority

Where an individual applies for a representation order, the assessing authority must assess whether the financial resources of the individual are such that the individual is liable to make payments under an income contribution order.

Before making an income contribution order the assessing authority must, where practicable, notify the individual of the amount for which the individual is likely to be liable under such an order.
