# The Cumbria Combined Authority Order 2026, Article 12: Joint committee


The mayor may enter into arrangements jointly with the Combined Authority, the constituent councils and other local authorities in accordance with section 101(5) of the Local Government Act 1972 (arrangement for discharge of functions by local authorities) for the discharge of the general functions of the Combined Authority which are exercisable only by the mayor pursuant to article 11.
