# The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014, Paragraph 2: Application by a person with diffuse mesothelioma


For the purposes of section 2 of the Act—
(a) a person (“P”) is to be taken as having been “first diagnosed” with diffuse mesothelioma where both of the conditions set out in paragraph 3 are met; and
(b) the date of first diagnosis is to be determined in accordance with paragraphs 4 and 5.
