# The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Amendment) Regulations 2003, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Made 2003
Coming into force 1st October 2004
Whereas the Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to discrimination;
And whereas a draft of the following Regulations was laid before Parliament in accordance with paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to that Act and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
