  "heading": "Consequential amendments to the 1999 Act",
  "text": "In the 1999 Act—\n(a) in section 2 (general functions)—\n(i) in subsection (1)(a), after “discrimination against” insert “and harassment of”;\n(ii) in subsection (5), in the appropriate place, insert the following—\n““harassment” means anything which is harassment for the purposes of any provision of Part 2 or 3 of the 1995 Act;”;\n(b) in subsection (5) of section 4 (non-discrimination notices), omit “discrimination”;\n(c) in subsection (11) of section 5 (agreements in lieu of enforcement action), omit “discrimination”;\n(d) in section 6 (persistent discrimination)—\n(i) in subsection (1)(b) (as substituted by paragraphs 1 and 5 of Schedule 7 to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001), for “section 8” substitute “section 17A”;\n(ii) in subsection (4), after “unlawful discrimination” insert “or harassment”;\n(e) in subsection (1)(a) of section 7 (assistance in relation to proceedings)—\n(i) for “section 8” substitute “section 17A”;\n(ii) after “unlawful discrimination” insert “or harassment”;\n(f) in paragraph 3(10) of Schedule 3 (investigation of unlawful acts etc), omit “discrimination”.",
