  "text": "Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 and paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.\nExiting The European Union\nRoad Traffic\nMade 2019\nComing into force in accordance with regulation 1(2) and (3)\nThe Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, and section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.\nThe Secretary of State for Transport is a Minister designated for the purpose of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the regulation of the type, description, construction or equipment of vehicles and the regulation and supervision of working conditions of persons engaged in road transport.\nThese Regulations make provision for a purpose mentioned in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and it appears to the Secretary of State that it is expedient for the reference to Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on tachographs in road transport to be construed as a reference to that instrument as amended from time to time.\nIn accordance with paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 and paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before Parliament and has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.",
