  "text": "(1) The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) Regulations 1980 (as amended by regulation 23 of these Regulations) are amended as follows.\n(2) In regulation 3(1)—\n(a) omit the definition of “Member State”;\n(b) for the definition of “the relevant approval mark” substitute—\n““the relevant approval mark”, in relation to the marking of a component of a vehicle, means a marking which is—\n(a) designated as an approval mark applicable to such a component pursuant to section 80(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, or\n(b) an approval mark applicable to such a component under regulations under Article 14 of Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on tachographs in road transport, as it has effect in EU law, as amended from time to time;”;\n(c) omit the words after the definition of “vehicle component” (which interpret references to the competent authority of a Member State other than the United Kingdom).\n(3) Omit the following—\n(a) in regulation 5(3), the words from “and, within one month” to the end;\n(b) regulation 5(4);\n(c) regulation 6(2);\n(d) regulation 10(3);\n(e) regulation 12(1)(b) (and the “or” before it);\n(f) regulation 12(2);\n(g) regulation 13(1)(b) (and the “and” before it).",
