  "text": "In Article 2(2)—\n(a) in point (f), for “authorities of a Member State” substitute “Secretary of State”;\n(b) in point (i), for “authorities of a Member State” substitute “Secretary of State”;\n(c) in point (j), for “authorities of a Member State” substitute “Secretary of State”;\n(d) in point (k)—\n(i) for “authorities of a Member State” substitute “Secretary of State”;\n(ii) for “that Member State” substitute “the Secretary of State”;\n(e) in point (u), omit the words from “, by a Member State” to “Article 13,”;\n(f) after point (z) insert—\n“(z1) “control officer” means—\n(i) an examiner appointed under section 66A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 or Article 74 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995,\n(ii) a person authorised for the purposes of Part 6 of the Transport Act 1968 by a traffic commissioner, or\n(iii) a police constable;\n(z2) “equivalent EU regulation” means Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 February 2014 on tachographs in road transport, as it has effect in EU law, as amended from time to time.”.",
