  "heading": "The General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland",
  "text": "(1) There shall be established a body to be known as the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (referred to in this Chapter as “the Council”).\n(2) Schedule 1 shall have effect in relation to the Council.\n(3) The functions of the Council under this Chapter shall be exercisable by the Council in relation to—\n(a) teachers in grant-aided schools; and\n(b) peripatetic teachers;\nand references in this Chapter to “teachers” and “teaching” shall be construed accordingly.",
