# The Electricity Capacity (Supplier Payment etc.) Regulations 2014, Regulation 14: Withholding credit payments to suppliers


(1) This regulation applies where, at the time when a credit note is issued to an electricity supplier (“S”) under Part 3 or 5, S is in capacity market stage 2 credit default.
(2) The Settlement Body must ensure that—
(a) the credit is withheld; and
(b) the credit note states that the payment is to be withheld and states the reason why.
