  "text": "(1) The Special Waste Regulations 1996 are amended in accordance with sub-paragraphs (2) and (3).\n(2) In regulation 1(4) (citation, commencement, extent, application and interpretation), for sub-paragraph (b) in the definition of “waste” substitute—\n“(b) radioactive waste within the meaning of paragraph 5 of schedule 8 of the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 which can be managed in accordance with the general binding rules specified in schedule 9 of those Regulations (whether or not the management of the radioactive waste requires to be notified in accordance with those Regulations);”.\n(3) In regulation 3 (certain radioactive waste to be special waste), for “Radioactive Substances Act 1993” substitute “Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018”.",
