Paragraph 34 Orphan Sources
(1)
SEPA must, for the purpose specified in sub-paragraph (2), promptly provide specialised technical advice and assistance to a person who—
(a)
suspects the presence of an orphan source; and
(b)
does not normally carry on radioactive substances activities.
(2)
The purpose is to ensure—
(a)
the protection of members of the public from radiation; and
(b)
the safety of the source.
