  "text": "In Section 5.1 (incineration and co-incineration of waste)—\n(a) omit the paragraph headed “Interpretation of Section 5.1”;\n(b) for Part A(1) substitute—\n“Part A(1)\n(a) The incineration of hazardous waste in a waste incineration plant or waste co-incineration plant with a capacity exceeding 10 tonnes per day.\n(b) The incineration of non-hazardous waste in a waste incineration plant or waste co-incineration plant with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes per hour.\n(c) The incineration, other than incidentally in the course of burning landfill gas or solid or liquid waste, of any gaseous compound containing halogens.”;\n(c) omit Part A(2);\n(d) in Part B, for paragraph (a) substitute—\n“(a) The incineration in a small waste incineration plant with an aggregate capacity of 50 kilogrammes or more per hour of the following waste—\n(i) vegetable waste from agriculture and forestry;\n(ii) vegetable waste from the food processing industry, if the heat generated is recovered;\n(iii) fibrous vegetable waste from virgin pulp production and from production of paper from pulp, if it is co-incinerated at the place of production and the heat generated is recovered;\n(iv) cork waste;\n(v) wood waste with the exception of wood waste which may contain halogenated organic compounds or heavy metals as a result of treatment with wood preservatives or coatings;\n(vi) animal carcasses.”.",
