The Essex (Electoral Changes) Order 2024 (S.I. 2024/1180) gave effect to recommendations for changes to the electoral arrangements for the county of Essex stated in the Local Government Boundary Commission’s report of July 2024.

The Commission has identified errors in S.I. 2024/1180, and it is those errors that are being corrected by this Order. That Order contained errors with respect to the number of councillors to be elected for each parish ward of the parish of Rochford, and the commencement dates for the new electoral arrangements for Rayleigh and Rochford parishes.

The report to which effect is given by S.I. 2024/1180 is available for inspection at reasonable times at the principal office of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, 7th Floor, 3 Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8YZ.
