  "text": "Where an arrested person has given his consent after expiry of the deadline of 10 days laid down in Article 8, the requested State:\nshall implement the simplified procedure as provided for in this Convention if a request for extradition within the meaning of Article 12 of the European Convention on Extradition has not yet been received by it;\nmay use this simplified procedure if a request for extradition within the meaning of Article 12 of the European Convention on Extradition has reached it in the meantime.",
