# The Export Control (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2022, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under paragraphs 1(1) and 8F(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8(1), 8C(1) and (5) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, and Article 9(1) of Council Regulation (EC) No 428/2009 of 5 May 2009 setting up a Community regime for the control of exports, transfer, brokering and transit of dual-use items (Recast), makes the following Regulations.
A draft of these Regulations has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with paragraphs 1(1), 8F(1) and 38(1) to (3) of Schedule 7 to that Act.
