# The Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Regulations 2025, Regulation 18: Interpretation of this Part


In this Part—
“applicant” means a person who applies for a food and feed marketing authorisation under regulation 20 or 22;
“authorisation-holder” means a person who has been issued a food and feed marketing authorisation under this Part;
“Food Standards Advisory Committee” means the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes or any advisory committee appointed under section 5(3) of the Food Standards Act 1999;
“representative” means a person, nominated by the applicant, who may be contacted in relation to the application for the food and feed marketing authorisation concerned.
