## Introductory text

Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under section 119(2)(i) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 and section 42(5) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by—
(a) section 119(5)(a) and (b) of, and paragraphs 2(5) and (11), 3(4) and (10) and 4 of Schedule 2 to, the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, and
(b) sections 22(1), (2)(b) and 42(6) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998.
In accordance with section 119(2)(i) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 and section 42(5) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998, a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.

## 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Higher Education (Fee Limits and Student Support) (England) (Coronavirus) (Revocation) Regulations 2020 and come into force the day after the day on which they are made.

## 2 Revocation of the Higher Education (Fee Limits and Student Support) (England) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020

The Higher Education (Fee Limits and Student Support) (England) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 are revoked.

## Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations revoke the Higher Education (Fee Limits and Student Support) (England) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/853).
Those Regulations introduced reduced tuition fee limits applicable to certain English higher education providers, and reduced maximum tuition fee loan amounts available to English-domiciled students undertaking courses at institutions in Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales, in academic year 2021/22 where such providers or institutions recruited students in excess of a level notified to them in respect of an academic year commencing on or after 1st August 2020 and before 1st August 2021.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument.
